OUR DEITIES

The Veda Patashala not only is a centre of teaching Vedas, the vidyarthis are also educated in the conventional school subjects like English, Mathematics and Computer Science. The Veda Patashala is housed beside the Shri Annapoorneshwari and Yoga Narashima temple. The temple is an oasis of peace and calm amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. It provides the much needed solace to the hectic life of the people of this industrial city.

The worship of a female goddess as representation of a divine mother is a prominent feature of Hinduism. In Hindu Dharma, the divine form of the Mother is widely worshiped as a unique reverence to womanhood and the protective selfless love of a mother, Annapoorneswari, the divine mother of universe is believed to feed her children without bias, ensuring that they attainAthma Gnana, self-knowledge.

All daridras(misfortunes)are wiped out and aishwaryam(prosperity) flourishesunder the blessings of Goddess Annapoorneswari. The most renowned shrines of Shri Annapoorneswari are located at Varanasi and Kancheepuram. It is believed that when these places were severely struck by famine, the divine Goddess eased out the drought, protected the people and brought in prosperity.

Abiding by the requests of the devotees, a beautiful shrine for Lord Yoga Narasimha has been erected. Lord Narasimha is considered as Bakthanugrahaand Shatru Samhara Moorthy, destroyer of all enemies of mankind and fulfiller of the desires of his devotee.
